YoYo S15: A little update :)

Well it’s been a while since we have updated this Project but it has become my full time job (almost) things started moving quit rapidly. So for today there’s a few pictures off the front suspension.

 

 here you can notice that the inserts for steering traction rods has been made longer than they usually are , its simply because we wanted them longer  witch equals wider track, better roll resistance with softer springs and „anti roll bar“ its set 30mm wider per side, we, actually , are not hitting any chassis rails on full lock with the 17x10 sized wheels :)

in this picture the „leading“ wheel is at full lock, which we haven’t measured precisely but its somewhere in the range of 57-60 degrees , which is more than enough. We actually had to modify not only the upright but the track rod too (it was bent a little to allow more room for the upright to turn)

 

you can not see it clearly but the steering column is moved to the front 20mm and the steering arms will be displaced another 20-25 mm (as much us the remaining space will allow) witch , should eliminate any wheel wobble at those insane steering angles this s15 will be seeing...

 

 

and here is the view of the upright in full lock looking from the front of the car... you can see that the roll centre has been adjusted (all outer pick up points have been moved down) while modifying the upright we also adjusted „Ackerman“angle, its not set for zero cause I don’t think 0 is the best setup for drifting... nor other styles of driving (not with street tires)…

 

This is it for now. I‘ll try to update as soon as I can, especially that there’s quite allot things to show and tell about this project :)
